Leaving late for the ridge

This was last time, Same conditions

Flew in from Minneapolis at 10 A.M. Got to lot at 1:30. Weather looked a bit questionable. Met a father and son on their way down from Kelso I think he was 11. At about 13,000 the weather went south, heavy wet snow and wind up to 40 mph. Super slic rock and very unstable snow. The crux ridge was walkable over the snow. Didn't summit until after 5. Wind on top was nuts. Lot of postholing and glisading down the Grey's trail. Long day.
