AT NoBo out of Neels Gap
It's funny to wake up in Atlanta, shower and drive to the trailhead...and be completely soaked in sweat within 10 minutes of hiking NB on the AT toward the top of Levellan Mountain. Such is May in the southern Appalachians. (Never mind that a few days and one storm system later we "enjoyed" record cold overnight lows.) Not much to see from the top of this peak, but it's good to visit the summit of one of Georgia's top 25!
