Lime Hill & Mammoth Mtn

Looking over the top of Lime Hill and towards the white wall behind, Mammoth Mtn (not the one in California of course) is a worthy objective (if not posted for No Trespassing). Mammoth Mtn has an elevation of 8108 with 1445 feet of prominence. 3-28-9

Mammoth

Climbed Mammoth yesterday on the SE shoulder near the old Dragon Mine. There is an old ATV trail that goes almost to the top. From the summit, you could climb Sioux, Godiva, and Eureka peaks very easily. Did not see any no trespassing signs. There is a summit register up top,

That is one I've had my eye on for some time. Thanks for your post, I'll give that a try soon. I was thinking of going north from the Silver Pass road but it looks like you went up the Dragon Canyon road. No problems with access then, that is great to know.

Thanks Dean, I was going to go via the Silver Pass road, but there was a newly constructed gate with no trespassing signs at the bottom
