Little Cochetopa Pass
Along the Little Cochetopa route, after the trail ends. The route continues to the saddle in this ridge (the Continental Divide) and follows this ridge until it connects to Ouray’s west ridge, showing at the far left of this photo. July 2, 2005.
Could this be the real Cochetopa? "Cochetopa" is a Ute word meaning "pass of the buffalo."
