The
Valley of Mała Łąka (Little Meadow) in
W Tatras, close to the town of Zakopane, Poland.
On the left, the slopes of
Giewont. On the right, the walls of Wielka Turnia, i.e. literally
Great Crag, plunge into Dolina Małej Łąki (Valley of Little Meadow) from the NE edge of the Red Ridge, whose top gently rises towards the summit of
Małołączniak ("Little Meadow'er" 2096m), one of the four summits of Czerwone Wierchy (
Red Peaks).
Wielka Turnia is 1847m high, approx. 350m tall and offers
fun climbing routes.
This photo must have been taken in the 1980s, what I'm sure of is that it was the
first decade of May.
