Lone Peak Utah

Lone Peak Utah

From a nice perch atop Peak 6476 in the Traverse (point of the mountain) range, this view of Lone Peak (with a little tele help) was enjoyed on Feb 4th. It would have been a great day to climb Lone Peak. I was just trying to get some of the Christmas excess off and enjoyed meeting 7 runners who had run up from Draper via the Widowmaker (not sure where that is). 2-4-12

Dat's a mighty fine pic

... of Lone Peak!

Widowmaker is located in Croydon.

It's where they have the "Widowmaker Hill Climb."

[My father took me there as a kid, but I wasn't married (yet) so had no worries.]

Croydon? I think that is a different Widowmaker. I believe the one they did starts down in Draper.

Re: Dat's a mighty fine pic

What? You mean they didn't run the 32.21 miles
between Croydon and Draper ???

There must be another Widowmaker Hill in the
Point of the Mountain area, where my friend
used to take his hang glider. Sorry ..

Hangliding? Yes, that might be a good source for the name "widowmaker". You rock Larry. : )
