Re: What's the difficult ...

If your asking how hard the lost Arrow Tip is rated, it can be done as a 5.5, C2, a 5.9, C1 or 5.12!

Re: What's the difficult ...

Hi kletter,

Passing the knot while rappelling down to the notch was tricky. However, the most intense part, for me, was the C2 section. The bolts were super skanky and two successive placements were made up of Aliens with only two lobes holding. One placement, at the time, was an aluminum head with only two strands of the cable left holding. I took a chance, and it held. There is a bit of a traverse at this point, and the second should know how to follow with this in mind. I recommend clipping into the pieces and cleaning behind as she goes.

Expect loads of exposure. Well worth the trip, though.

Good thing those skanky bolts held! In 2000, ASCA replaced all the lead and anchor bolts - 21 of them. Hoping to get up here soon!
