Looking up the Hohe Geige west ridge

... from Gahwinden. Now I'm a bit tired and it's much too late, but tomorrow I plan to climb that ridge! It's longer than it looks. Gahwinden is 2649m, Hohe Geige 3395m. The summit is just behind the peak on the left. According to my guidebook, the route takes 4 hours from the Rüsselsheimer Hütte, which lies at 2323m. I plan to sleep there, and since it's just a hiking trail between Gahwinden and the refuge, it shouldn't take me more than 45 minutes tomorrow to get back up here, which leaves me over 3 hours to climb the ridge if I go by the book. 28 June 2012.
