| Diggler | Great climbing! ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 26, 2012 | |
| •Root of All Evil - Sibling Rivalry (“5.9-“) 7.25.’12, w/ Faith; led both pitches; Initial ‘approach’ crack (getting TO roof)@ least the way we went, definitely the crux- .10 a/b, I’d say. Roof I’d call .9; fun! Face fun, & skinny bolts + 20’ -> 30’ run-outs made things somewhat thought-provoking! Great intro climb to Lumpy! •Loose Ends (5.9) 7.26.’12, w/ Faith; P1 tough! Broke into 2 parts, as strenuous! F led “P2 (as per Green’s CO guide).” Initial section tough too, P3 dihedral FUN (reminded me of White Punks on Dope (Needles) dihedral). Cave weird & tough! Thought I’d pulled my quad! Excellent climb & day! Tough climb! | ||

| Scrambled up this at the end of a long, grueling day which started with scrambling up middle Gem Peak and West Gem Peak followed by circumnavigating Lumpy. Ungodly hot. Great views! | ||

| Head up and over The Needles and then over to Dark. Wanted to head up McGregor, put an injured Achilles started acting up so called it a day. Wonderful seclusion on a beautiful November day. | ||

| 8/8/09 Magical Chrome-Plated.... - First climb at Lumpy and really enjoyed it. 8/16/09 Batman & Robin - A pretty fun 5.6 climb. We were going to add on a route on Batman Rock, but the clouds were moving in. | ||

| good climb topped pinnacle rappel and finished the next short little face> thanks for the gear that was left in a great place, it was fresh clean solid, but no thanks to the fools behind us that stole the gear cause they thought we forgot it, found out it wasnt ours and walked away w/ it | ||

| kavak | West Ridge Route ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 4, 2006 | |
| We hiked in snow to some false summits each time finding a higher one. The third one was the charm. There is no end to the rock scrambling that can be done on this ridge let alone the technical routes. | ||

| Can't remember any of the routes but it was a great area with good rock, scary free solo with Jerry (that was dumb)! | ||

| I climbed this with other Memphis Mountaineers, Paul and Sam, after a freak summer storm cancelled out plans for higher in RMNP. Nice Route! | ||

| tomlauren | Sundance Gully Route to The Needles ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 14, 2008 | |
| From the Lumpy Ridge Trailhead, hiked the Sundance Gully Route to the top of the highest needle. I was expecting the gully to be a class 2 thrash/scramble, but there was a class 1+ climbers trail up the entire gully. The top of the gully is a really neat place to be - lots of rock and gnarled trees. | ||

| hans.schenk | A Couple of Routes ![]() | |
| Climbed two routes in the summer of 1993: White Whale (5.7, 3 pitches) Batman & Robin (5.6, 4 pitches) Fantastic climbing! Granite is my all-time favorite! | ||

| joegrim | The Needles and Lumpy Ridge Traverse ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 10, 2007 | |
| Led a group of 10 from the Colorado Mountain Club up Sundance Gully to the Needle. We then did a "Lumpy Ridge Traverse" by Observatory Dome and Double Dome, before descending down to Batman Rock (and scrambled up to its top) and then back down to the Black Canyon Trail. A great hike! | ||

| Tom Fralich | Multiple Routes ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 8, 2007 | |
| Osiris (5.7, 5 pitches) -- July 8, 2007 -- Mary and I climbed this route for a bit of acclimatization before heading into the high peaks. We got somewhat of a late start and by the time I finished leading P3, there were thunderstorms threatening, (although it was only 2PM). We climbed quickly to the top and made it back to the trailhead about 30 minutes before the downpour. I really enjoyed the climb...fairly strenuous and thoughtful for a 5.7. Batman and Robin (5.6, 4 pitches) -- July 16, 2007 -- Mary and I climbed this route in 2 long pitches for a nice, relaxing half-day while we were recovering from Petit Grepon. The approach was fairly long and steep, but the climbing was fun and ended on a very nice pinnacle...the Batman Pinnacle. We contemplated doing another route on Batman Rock, but decided not to chance it with the thunderstorms which were already building. | ||

| Mike N | Osiris ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 9, 2007 | |
| Climbed 5.7 Osiris with great weather. The descent to the East is tricky. Do not continue down and East following the cairns. At some point you have to head back West over boulders. We went down too far, and spent 1.5 hours descending in rock shoes, then had to make the hike back to the base, in rock shoes. I think rapping might be a better option if no one else is on route. | ||
