Lurking Fear

Mommy & daddy on top of El Cap...3 nights & 3.5 days of effort and the worst part still remains: the 8 mile hike down through mosquito infested forest with all the shit on our backs...shouldda slept on top & gone down the east ledges (July 2009).

	Hasn't voted	thank you very much Marc! ...I have these stages of progressive happiness throughout a climb... -while on a climb, getting to top would make me happy -while on top, a safe/painless descent would make me happy -at base, easy hike out and sitting in a car seems like it would hit the spot -then beer/dinner desires -...etc etc heheheh :) ...I guess this was "stage 2" happiness

	Hasn't voted	Chief, thank you very much!! Hiking out was a total mistake - got there in early evening & figured we'd just start the mindless walk down to Camp4....not quite - bad mosquitos...shouldda bivied on summit & rapped east ledges in the morning...live in learn :)
