Main Lovenia, East Aspect | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
View from Lovenias Saddle. The technical challenges of the ridge connecting the two 13ers are over by this point, but there is still up to 900 ft of altitude to gain to the main summit. 10/8/2008 1pm. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | lcarreau | Art of deception ? | |
Voted 10/10 | I remember viewing Lovenia from the summit of
Kings in 1982. Distances seem to be very
deceptive in this awesome range of mountains.
To the average viewer, it doesn't appear to be another 900' (gain) to the summit of this mountain.
(Thanks for the information!!!) - Larry

Hasn't voted | a close look at the map shows that it may be as much as 1000 ft vertical. Of course a look sideways would always show the true scale of the slope much better than a look directly into its face. | | Posted Nov 20, 2008 4:12 pm |
