Maine's Highpoint.

Mount Katahdin, 5,267' above sea level, is Class One and our country's 22nd highest state highpoint. Hurricane Nicole's fierce winds prompted Baxter State Park to close the mountain. The park rangers stated the winds atop the summit were nearly 100 mph. Hurricane Nicole followed me up the coast. The fall foliage near Millinocket, Maine was spectacular, though!
