Map of La Palma. Don't try to read the names - you can't (and I'm aware of it) just have a look at the quasi-relief:

  • in the north you see the giant Caldera de Taburiente, earths largest erosion crater

  • in the center you see the curve of the Cumbre Nueva, a mountain range which is the leftover of an even larger crater (just follow the lines)

  • to the south you see the Cumbre Vieja with its more than a hundred volcanoes, the most active volcanic zone of the island and location of the mega-tsunami theory
