March 2004, 3200m, south...

March 2004, 3200m, south slope of Koloon, getting dark, bloody cold, starting of a heavy storm and snow fall(3-4 days), should scape soon otherwise me, car and the guy will turn to a part of the slop under the snow ...
Feels like :
"I feel the breeze on my face in expectance
Not very long before the storm reaches here
Off in the distance the lightning flashing again
Feel something strong as the power draws near
Is it the rolling of thunder that scares you
Is it the crashing of clouds that hold fear
But all I know as I sit in a corner alone
It takes me back to my childhood again (Ironmaiden)"

Iron Maiden?

It's funny that you mention Iron Maiden. I used to listen to them back in the 1980s. Which song and which album is that?

Re: Iron Maiden?

Virtual XI (1998) Lightning Strikes Twice (Murray, Harris)

- For me being in mountain is full of feeling, the same as listening to genius maidens, I find a lot of contrast between their melodies and rhythms with the slopes, rocks, snow ... every scilence in there ...

Re: Iron Maiden?

I didn't even know they still make albums. I thought they broke up in the late 80s. I guess I am becoming an old man.

Re: Iron Maiden?

They never broke up, Bruce and Adrian left for their solo albums, the maidens made 2 albums without them they had Janic Gers inplace of Adrian, now they are together again but with 3 guitars including both Janic and Adrian ... Their Two new Album "Brave new world" and "Dance of the dead" is so great, back to their classic era again ...
