We bushwhacked along the south shore of Gable Lake for just under an hour to get to this expansive meadow. The sharp summit of Gable Mountain rises on the upper left of the photo. Note the old mining cabin ruins on the left hand side (marked on the National Geographic Many Glacier topo as "Ruins"). Our route will head out of frame to the left of the cabin. June 16, 2012
