Bucklin Trail  Sucess!

Someone clearly cut a herd path recently, as there is one that is easily followed just past the old bushwhack cairn. Made for a quick hike followed by a whack up Killington.

From the Bucklin TH  Sucess!

Took about two hours and twenty minutes to reach the summit. I lost and found the herd path several times on the way up. There were some good views to the east off some of the ledges. Two hours to descend.

Traverse from Deep Canyon to Box Elder Peak and Back :)  Sucess!

Long day, nice views. Probably wouldn't do the traverse again, but glad to have done it. :)

Nice Bushwack  Sucess!

Came up logging roads from Bucklin TH, Irene changed some of the crossings, but still pretty easy, headed into the woods near the height of land, canister hidden on back of the tree, signed in and enjoyed great views from ledges nearby. Headed back to logging rd followed towards Killington, bushwacked up to LT/AT and up to summit and back down Bucklin Trail (being rerouted near the creek) to the TH.

Logging Road/Bushwack RT  Sucess!

Rain let up on the way down from Burlington. Took much longer than expected but was gathering data/pictures for route page. Bushwack wasn't bad but didn't find proper herd path between peaks until the return thrip. Very wet in the woods and poor GPS coverage, relied mostly on compass. Sun came out on peak and got nicer the whole way back, typical vermont summer.
