It was definitely more fun to climb in the snow. We had to remove our crampons for the relatively flat section prior to the final section as there was no snow.

May of '06, a bad snow year. I've been there in June with several feet of snow at tree line in other years.

A lot different with spring snow

Thanks for sharing the pic, I turned back at 11,400 ft in a whiteout/light snow. Really didn't get to see a whole lot up high, had a six inch snow cover when we got back down to the jeep. sept 1st08'
