No, I haven't bought the one. I know these guidebook consists of series of press stories published first by the author in Magazyn Gorski or something like that.
Since years I got used to WHP's guide books so much that I am not able to change for anything now :) These classical books brought me so many memorable adventures... ;)
All these new publications are more or less Paryski's copies and shortcuts, but of course may be useful. I think my friend HansG has bought the book and had quite good opinion on it.
Yes, despite it might sound a bit "new fashioned", these are the only real guidebooks of the Tatras I have which do not limit themselves to the marked trails. Don't forget I'm in Poland since only 4 years :) I haven't climbed all offtrails peaks, far from that, and probably I will not make many of them, but having such book is nice, just like one must have his own bible :) Rother Walking Guide also introduces some fine offtrails in english, this was my very first Tatras book which made me dream and I love it too.
p.s: I know the articles you are talking about, such as this one (I've printed them all !), but they are not 100% identical to what is in the book, so having them can be a complement of information
