friends like uutah.comJust noticed your comment about SP while lurking at this other site :)
"I prefer a laid back, fun group where you can just hang out with friends like uutah.com"
Wow. Laid back group discussing politics, sex, guns, motors (and outdoors too of course)? For people like myself, it's just a plain scary place to hang out. I'm kind of expecting to get death threats, FBI investigations, and plain slahed tires if I open my mouth a tad to wide there :)
It's not like I am criticisizing your site, just wanted to make a point that's what's good for a tight-knit circle of friends may be no-no for a noob outsider. At least SP is more structured and feels safer.

confusedIt's not my site. It's a site ran by University of Utah grads. They are mostly young... far younger than me and mostly bikers. They are far from a close nit group... in fact they seem to welcome everyone. This group is awesome though. Much more into hiking, climbing and such.

Re: confusedMy apologies. Of course I shouldn't have said "your site". Just wanted to defend SP a bit in comparison with uutah.
I met a few young uutah'ns in person and of course it is very nice and friendly ... but it gets so flaming confrontational online there, I am just plain scared to dive into it.
Your z-site is just super! Thumbs up for great job there! When my leg gets better, I promise to drop by for East Zion / Canaan Mtn.

:)No one is ever mean to me, but I suppose they fight a bit in the political threads since the site is open to all kinds of conversations. Thanks for the compliment on my Zion site. Canaan Mountain is probably my all time favorite hike anywhere! ... well maybe after South Canyon. (Grand Canyon). I hope your leg gets better. I saw your post about the car accident.
