Route Description

Starting the routeTrail head

In the other side of Mirador (watchtower) you take some stairs near of the map with information (597m). You walk among the pines taking a path in right side near of the ruins of a hut. You follow the path P.R. AS-71 in the right side of ridge of Cantu la Teya until the green fields of Vega de Bustacu (650m).
Route to Pienzu: first partFirst part of route

You take the dirt track to reach the bottom of the peak (870m). The best option is follow to the saddle in front of you (the peak is in right side) to the Majada de Beluenzu (975m). You turn now to right side walking in hard slopes of grass and rock to the cross of the summit.

Essential Gear

After some rains the walking poles are very useful in the final ramps. In a few of winter days with snow and very cold temperatures you could need crampons but it's not very frequend because the access to the summit is South face.
