Mitchell Caverns

Mitchell Caverns are in the Providence Mountains of California, which is a State Recreation Area inside Mojave National Preserve. The tour of the caverns lasts about 1.5 hours and you have to hike around the side of the mountains to get to and from the cave entrance. Inside there are many unique formations including cave shields and helictites.
