My information is Northflank (PD+) but NW ridge from Col du Mont Maudit is PD. This one could be another "normal" route. Couldn't it? Concerning Grands Mulets refuge, you could name this hut including some sentences about the danger along the route, peril signals...
the Northflank is the normal route on Mont Maudit.
Concerning Ref. Grands Mulets: Because of the danger of avalanches and falling seracs, it's too dangerous to climb Mont Maudit directly from Ref. Grands Mulets via the glacier. Therefore I don't want to name this route on my page.
Great page, I climbed over the shoulder of Mt Maudit to get to Mt Blanc from the Aiguille de Midi, I was so tired that I couldn't take it in. I look forward to going back and climbing it for its own sake.
I followed the link to your site, it is very useful, I dream of doing some of the routes you have done! Cheers, Peter
Outstanding page, really an enjoyable read. You do such nice work that I'll have to keep reading some of your pages that I haven't looked at before. Now, back to reading this masterpiece.........

Untitled CommentQuite a good page for the "mountain of evil".
I think its rating should approach the rating of its popular Kuffner route photo!

Untitled CommentI hope this page will never been adopted and will remain in that state.
It will be possible for everyone to add routes and links
