MONT VELAN all NORTHERN Routes

From Aiguilles des Luisettes de Valsorey or Est-northeast to West-northwest (circular description of the routes from left to the right):

in azur ancient route (1824, 1826) from Gran Plan (2501m) towards the Valsorey Glacier up to the connection with the Standard Route from Cabane du Velan (2569m) through Col de la Gouille (3149m).

In amaranth-Krimson Swiss Normal Via from Cabane du Velan through Col de la Gouille (after 1945, date of construction of the hut).

In pink: Northeast Crest (September 1872) from Col de la Gouille (reached from Valsorey Glacier or from Velan 's Cabane after 1945) to the Hump also Northern Ice Cup 3622 meters.

In purple: North Wall Central Eperon (July 1939) from Valsorey through Tseudet Glacier with direct ascent to Hump or Northern Ice Cup 3622 meters .

In orange: Northwest Face of Quota 3622 meters (August 1936) from Valsorey through the hanging Tseudet Glacier with direct ascent to Hump or Northern Ice Cup 3622 meters.

Colorless and not marked: North-northeast Face of (July 1935) the snowy gully between the Quota 3670 meters or Northwest Ice Cup and the Aiguille du Velan (3635m), always from Valsorey and through the Tseudet Glacier and always through the suspended Tseudet 's Glacier.

In red: Northeast Face (1970?) with "Diagonal Route" on the Aiguille du Velan (3635m) , from Cabane du Velan.

In yellow: East-northeast Edge of Quota 3561 meters (*** error in final part of tracing that leads instead to the lower Quota 3488 meters; unknown date but anyway from Valsorey) with "Sinuous Route".

In springgreen: North-northwest Ridge of (August 1897) Mont Velan passing through Aiguille du Velan (3635m) and Quota 3670 meters or Northwest Ice Cup up to the Ice Cup Top (3734m), from Col de Tseudet (3167m) also crossing the Petit Velan (3223m) .

In blue and in bottom: start from Cabane du Velan (2569m) towards Tseudet Vallon with its glaciers and Col de la Gouille (3149m).
