Hike up the fire road.

Morton Peak is 4624 ft / 1409 m high.
3 miles from the parking lot. Can drive up on fire road, but there is a gate. Sometimes it is open.
About 3 hours to hike up and down.
I attached a Google Earth map as well with the route highlighted.
