Part of a north-to-south presi traverse dayhike, Madison to Webster. Great conditions until just before the Mizpah hut, at which point there was some lightning and hail.

This was along the way between Jefferson and Washington. It didn't look like much until we started ascending it.After over 6500ft of elevation gain at this point, every step was a tough one.It felt just as good being at the top here as any though.I can't wait for the return trip...Jim wallace

Ran up Clay on our way from Jefferson to Washington. Great view of Washington and views of where we came from earlier that morning. Windy, but sunny. Lovely day.

We all wondered why this did not count as a 4,000 footer - the effort we put in to climb it made us want SOME recognition for it.
