When I was a kid, hiking up and down the spine of the Appalachians, I used to look at the Torngats on the maps and wonder what they were like. I'd search for information on them in books and encyclopedias and just be frustrated.
Great page, Tim. Its good to know that such wild places are relatively close by, even if they are hard to get reach. Due to my geographic ignorance, an overview map (exactly where the heck is Labrador?) would be a nice addition. But maybe everyone else knows where it is!
Nelson thanks as always for the vote... its appreciated always. I have a map but it is on my Cirque mountain page and since I am more than a little computer illiterate a link is a bit beyond me. Labrador is on Canada's far east coast... it is part of Newfoundland. Newfoundland is the island while Labrador is on the mainland (shares the border with Quebec) and runs the length of the coast. Hope that helps... Cheers and Merry Christmas -Tim-

Untitled CommentExcellently written page! You need to convert the "drematic" in the second paragraph of the first section, though :-)
