Big Meadow provides some nice views of peaks on the west side of RMNP. Mount Ida dominates this view The trail along Big Meadow stays inside the forest to the west, trying (and failing) to reduce your exposure to mosquitoes. June 2008.

Nice picture, but the peak above Big Meadow is Nakai!
