| I finally completed my summit of Mt. Nebo (north peak) 8 years after having to turn around upon reaching the south summit in 2002. This time I skipped the longer southern route and went via the north ridge (I highly recommend it, unless you want to bag all three peaks in the same trip). The weather was perfect, wind minimal, a great summer scramble, including a short glissade on the descent. The summit was covered with thousands of lady bugs. | ||

| Dicey with snow conditions made for some ridge climbing straight up the N. face. Fantastic glissades back down. Only person on the mountain from any direction I could see. | |

| Funny. I saw your entry as I was posting mine. You bet it was steep. The E. face (normal) switchback section was mired under that 'hanging on for dear life' snowfield, which I didn't want to touch with a 10-foot pole. Ridge running for now on the N. route, maybe for another month or so given the snowpack. | |

| This was my final Utah County highpoint. Crowds were too bad despite it being a holiday weekend. The early start time probably helped with that. I was glad to finally get this peak done because it was visible from so many others. | |

| Overnighted first ridge we came to on Eastern approach. Summit day was long. Summited all three "peaks". Off-trail on way down. Partner bonked, hurled, dehydrated, but made it. | |

Started at the Nebo bench TH. Did North Peak and then the whole Nebo ridge and came back on the Nebo Bench Trail. 8/9/1998 Just did the highest point from the north with the WMC. | |

| Awesome day, we were in tip top shape, up in 1:16 from the North Peak trailhead. Down in under an hour and sacked out the rest of the day. Beautiful blue sky and wispy clouds. | |

| from bluebird sky to menacing - glad we didn't sit around too long enjoying the view. Picked up a large amount of garbage on the way down - candy wrappers, 3 water bottles, Jolly Ranchers, potato chip container, etc. ... why are people that make the effort to summit peaks like this such assholes??? | |

| The Eug and I hiked/ scrambled over the entire ridge via the North Route. Took the knife edge from the north summit to the middle, but we bailed 3/4 of way across and followed the trails for the rest if the hike. We intended to take the bench trail back to the parking lot, but somehow missed the turnoff and ended up at the Andrews Ridge Trailhead at the south end of the mountain instead. Hitchhiked back to the car with a happy-go-plucky girl ("I love picking up hitchhikers!") in a two-seat BMW convertible. The Eug had to sit on my leg and I was cramped up next to the stick shift, but it was fun nonetheless. | |

| Climbed in 5:20 car-to-car including a trip up North Peak. Was able to communicate with my brother via Ham radio from the top. Over 40 miles transmitting at 1 watt. Got sunburned legs on the way down. Probably should have applied sunscreen. | |
