| A cold front made for perfect crampon snow, and a partial boot-pack only made things easier. Traversed over to North afterwards. Trip report. | ||

| Went with another Summit Post member and almost got him killed. There was plenty of snow up top and no other climbers, so we decided since we'd carried ice axes and crampons we would use them and scootled down a nice snowfield, but wound up taking the wrong canyon down, which was half by choice as it looked more direct than the trail. The snow gave out, and we found ourselves manuevering through and around a series of waterfalls. Eventually we gave up and climbed back up some few thousand feet of awful cliffs and were on our feet 18 hours before making our cars at a little past midnight. The walk is ambitious enough without the extra curriculars, but a decent peak so far as peaks go. We went up the Andrew's Trail. | ||

| We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. The morning was a nice crisp 47deg. Which helped on the many ups and downs this hike has to offer. This hike covered it all a nice stroll through a wooded area, beautiful canyon area, big valleys, rolling hills, and several steep sections to keep the heart pumping. Several people out trying to get a piece of Nebo today, but many would stop short of the final ascent, which on it’s on is quite the accomplishment. I figure you made through the first steep you might as well push on to the next. It gave us a chance to enjoy the peak by ourselves for awhile, which is amazing, to suck all of it in takes awhile. We had a nice lunch on top and then pressed on back, temp. Never broke 80deg. A small breeze the rest of the way out kept these hikers very content. One of the best hikes I have done this year. I look forward to visiting this one again, but next time I will get North Peak as well. Great Hike!!!! | ||

| Started on the North Peak Trailhead at 2:30 am. Full moon out, cool mountain night air, trail easily visible in the dark. Summited 30 minutes after sunrise, great pictures! On the hike down, hot, and a lot of hikers. Glad we opted for the middle of the night! | ||

| This would mark the conclusion of a major out-of-state peakbagging weekend for me. Thank goodness I had been exercising a lot beforehand and did another big peakbagging trip the previous week, or this weekend would not have gone so well. OK, so my body is now telling me *it* is not doing so well, but the summit accomplishments are still there. After a series of long cross-country drives from doing Kings Peak, Wheeler Peak, and Mount Grafton during the previous two days, I headed back into Utah for a morning hike of Mount Nebo before flying out later that night. I would only sleep a couple of hours, but when I initially fell asleep I was soon startled by the car shaking. I thought it was a bear. I looked up and was astonished to find... a cow rubbing his tongue and nose against the back window of my rental car. WTF??? I set off the car alarm and the cow ran away, never again (as far as I know) getting close to the vehicle. I turned on my headlamp and looked around... there were cows EVERYWHERE near the parking area. I fell asleep and then woke up a few hours later. I really enjoyed the hike. The final ascent from Wolf Pass looked a little intimidating, but was really just a steep trail hike. The final "scramble" to the summit ridge is also over-exaggerated in some trip reports... although I would not want to be there in a rainstorm or thunderstorm. I signed the summit register and headed down, passing only one hiker along the way. This weekend was full of all of the classic elements of a solo out-of-state Redwic peakbagging trip: Long drives, long hikes, little sleep. | ||

| Late start on the north peak route... got to summit fine. Went to take a 15 minute nap at lower saddle on way back, ended up sleeping for an hour, temps soared and even though I downed 4 liters of water I got heat stroke. Cold shower never felt so good. | ||

| My wife and I decided to go on very short notice late in the day. We ended up at the Nebo Bench Trail which apparently is not the shortest approach. It was however completely devoid of other humans and appeared to be rarely used. The trail had several places where the winter snows had removed the trail leading to dangerous moments. After about 8 miles we turned back. | ||
