Clouds/wet  Sucess!

I needed my LL Bean hooded rain jacket this day. The long length helped to keep me dry!

There is almost no mystery to this route, even though it is not blazed. Just keep going up.

Mt Osceola Summit  Sucess!

The trailhead is easy to find. I-93 North to Exit 31. East on Tripoli Rd for 7 miles and the trailhead and parking is on the left. I'd suggest getting there early as in by 8:15am. When I got there about that time, the parking lot was nearly empty, but within 15 minutes, it filled up. No worries, though. There appears to be plenty of parking along side the road.

It was a terrific day for hiking temperature-wise. It may have been in the 60's and was overcast until just after I summited at 10:30am. I ran into a few rain showers from Nashua to within 10 miles of the trailhead, but none on the trail itself.
It took me 2 hours to summit and daggone it the same amount of time to descend because the knees aren't what they used to be.
I do recommend a walking stick (or 2) as most of the trail is strewn with rocks and boulders. The climb is gradual and not a problem.
The views were well worth the drive and the hike. I only encountered 1 May fly but that one critter bit me in the middle of my forehead and I ended up with a huge welp. Nice...
Fun, Fun, Fun!!! This is only my 3rd 4000 fter so I wonder which 4000 fter will be next?
