Loop hike starting with PT 12860 B and traversing PT 13122, PT 13490, Owen and then finishing with lowly PT 10955 at the end of the ridge. A fair amount of scrambling on the ridge from PT 13490 to Owen if you stay on the crest, fun stuff!
Route Climbed: West Ridge up South East Ridge down Date Climbed: June 8, 2003
The Wild Cherry Creek approach is beautiful beyond description. The West Ridge was an idylic stroll. The summit views were spectacular. And flirting with the Crestone Conglomerate on the South East Ridge for the descent rounded out the experience. Cherry Lake below was a perfect spot to cool my feet. Along with me were my dogs Sopris & Raymond.
