Very windy on the ridge from Belford. Nice weather even though it was supposed to be rough.

If you do Belford, take the extra 1 1/2 hours to do Oxford. I talked to a person that skipped it because the saddle doesn't lose 3,000 ft. There are no rules in mountaineering. Just go up. The 3,000 ft. rule is for guys that are going for the speed record. Is that you?

After doing Belford a few years ago, but not bagging Oxford, it was time to get Oxford. Headed up the standard route of Belford and then made the traverse over to Oxford. On the return, instead of going back over Belford we headed down to Elkhead Pass and then down the whole length of Missouri Gulch. While longer it is far less steep. If I was do do either of these peaks I'd probably go up this route. In addition to being less steep, it was far less crowded.

Unrelenting high winds all day made this hike more challenging than normal. Great day for pics if I could hold on to my camera!#15.

Cloudless day, lounged around on the summit for a while, no reason to finish quickly. Easy peak, but the return over Belford gets the lungs going.

Completed this after climbing Missouri. The Missouri/Oxford/Belford loop was very difficult and a long day. 14+ miles and over 7,000 ft. elevation gain. Need to have a full day of good weather to safely complete this trip.

We really enjoyed this summit, kicking back and eating lunch while talking to other hikers and snapping photos. An early start this day allowed us ample time to relax and take in the Sawatch views. I confess I did NOT so much enjoy the re-ascent of Belford, but it was tolerable. Partner: Deb.

Wife, dog and I climbed the duo from Missouri Gulch. Great day except for the pricks that had the dog off leash that started a fight with my dog, but oh well, what do you expect!? Rained on us on the way out...

Had three days off from work at Philmont so we went up to Colorado for some 14ers. We did Belford and Oxford together. We started at 11am and finished at 5:30pm. Great day with amazing weather conditions...a little windy but not bad
