| Picked my wife up from work and headed out for a drive over Loveland Pass. Ended up hiking Sniktau instead. My first mountain in the Front Range and my wifes first above 13,000 feet. | ||

| More fun this time than in a November blizzard. Saw a goat with a radio collar. Also the first time I saw an airplane flying below me while I was standing on the ground. | ||

| Great hike. Alot more snow than I expected with high winds. Awsome views of surrounding area. Expected to see some goats but instead saw two bighorn rams bedded down on the very summit of the mountain. | ||

| My first 13er in winter! Sniktau is a great introduction to such conditions. | ||

| Had the mountain all to myself - of course there was a snow storm and wind and no one else was crazy enough to be out there. I met one person down at the bottom as I was heading back to the car. It was a great hike despite the conditions. It is a great get in shape or stay in shape hike when you want to do something short and get up high. | ||

| Acclimating climb on first day from sea level, got to the base of the summit ridge at 13K. Did not feel like dealing with the cornice. Awesome views. Met several backcountry skiers on the route. I have a lot of respect for these guys - this is real skiing. | ||

| Simply the best beginner winter climb in the Front Range. Relatively low avalanche danger as long as you stay away from the well developed cornices. Took a few friends and my girlfriend and all enjoyed the beauty and scenery | ||

| A nice easy hike for the snow season. The views of the nearby mountains are well worth the trip. This summit gives a great vantage of Hagar Mountain, the Citadel, Pettingell Peak, Mount Parnassus, Bard Peak, not to mention Grays and Torreys. Along with me were dogs Sopris and Ray. | I had planned to summit Sniktau with Grizzly a few weeks before, but I kinda wussed out. It was a gorgeous day for hiking, sunny and clear, not as windy. | ||
