Pushed bikes up Olnie Creek road. Bushwhacked through wet brush to the lake and then tarn. The gully was free of snow but wet and mossy. We scrambled to the summit and waited for an hour for views to clear up. I rappelled down the gully but Chandler scrambled it.

Stickney in October
Great fall colors and full sun made for a nice half day summit.

A worthy outing
My son and I made it to the top. The gully to the summit ridge is a little wet and muddy. Parties uncomfortable with easy 4th on mud might want to take a rope to rappel back down. There are at least 3 rappel stations at the top of the gully.

40 feet shy
Although I was 40 feet shy, I would count it a success. Climbing with my brother Josh, we forged a neat route up a gully to point 4992 that was a sweet 45 degree snow climb on a killer sunny day. Rotten cornices and difficult rock turned us around early but coming back down the gully for a 2,500 foot glissade way, way more than made up for it! A trip report on that is coming soon.

2016's GoalGot this one with Gimpilator. Probably the most fun I've had bagging a peak. The mountain bike ride down was glorious.

Mount StickneyI was able to get the motorcycle up to 3600' on the Olney Creek Road, so it made this a pretty short day.

Darn itAfter 90 anti-tank traps (I counted them) I ended up turning around just short of the summit as I was short on time and underestimated the snow depth.
