Mount Sublette and the Brooks Lake Cliffs from Sublette Peak

Mount Sublette and the Brooks Lake Cliffs from Sublette Peak

Probably the most impressive sight from the peak, this formation is along the Continental Divide. Some have compared the cliffs and spires to the Dolomites in appearance. Others have asked about climbing the cliffs. The cliffs are rarely climbed, if ever at all, because the rock is rotten and cannot be trusted if you want to protect your climb. The vertical relief of the cliffs from top to base is well over 1000'. Absaroka Range, Wyoming-- July 2009

Re: wonderful

Thank you, Tomek. A little later, there were storm clouds. I still got some good pictures, but none I liked as much as this one.
