Absolutely outstanding views and a solid, solid day. Even if it is the "tourist route". Views down across Larch Valley into the Ten Peaks are unforgettable.

Super Dave

Fun climb up the standard route. Beautiful approach, and a little route finding made for a fun day. Plenty of loose rock and other climbers, so a helmet is recommended. Made good time and summited in just over 3 hours, so decided to climb Eiffel too.

Originally intending to do Deltaform and maybe some other stuff, I was put off by the Mandatory Bear Closure sign and formed a temporary Polish-Russian-Ukranian-American alliance to fend off bears and rangers to attempt the standard route in the clouds. I (of course) managed to get off-route, incurring a scree-slog to the south ridge, then a scramble up that to the summit. Trip report.

Last minute climb on our last day in the area. Fun way to end an amazing climbing trip, fun scramble, loose stuff but for the area not so bad. Perfect weather!

Fifth Canadian Rockies 11,000'er (summited five 11,000'ers in 1994). Standard scramble route with Tim Bester and Jock Rutherford. Ran up Eiffel Peak after Temple. Beautiful Fall day.

Date Climbed: Sep 6, 2011

This was the 4th peak of our hiking extravaganza. Temple was our #1 goal for the trip. Eiffel and Temple are probably the most scenic climbs I have ever done up to this point, while Temple was also one of the most fun. We encountered a lot of loose stuff as expected and the gray band wasn't all that hard. This time of year there was almost no snow on the last slope. The only thing we used our axes for was the summit photo.

Sue and I climbed most of the way to the summit but did not continue on as we had a big day ahead of us getting in to the Neil Colgan hut by Fay the next day. Great climb though in fantastic weather.
