Nice "small" Colorado mountain, even though I don't think Colorado has any small mountains! Good page though and a job well done! Good climbing to you!
A banal mountain at 3800m! At this altitude many people have enough trouble trying to breathe and walk so it might be good that Mount Trelasse is so "banal".
Interesting to hear about the crash of the football team. It occurs that to them - in the end - it wasn't banal enough. But you could also say the pilot was out of his head.
Keep adding these Colorado pages. There are lots of mountains to cover. It is especially nice to see another that is very accessible from Denver. Good work as always Brian.
Nicely done. Our meeting in town prior to your climb makes this one special to review. Thanks for the great job on this "banal" mountain (I had no idea there was a plane crash on it).
Yep, thanks for the idea. It worked out great. There is actually a trail up the east side of Trelease up to about treeline. Then it's easy pickings up to the top. The ridge to the Divide worked out nicely too. Loved Hagar's summit. Fun scrambling. Wanted to go up the snow in the gully on Citadel but it was too soft and melting out so we scrambled up the left side. Even saw some goats on the descent. Had a great time. I'll definitely let you and Aaron pick my route again next time I'm in CO. Thanks again.
