Mountain goat poser | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
On a 2002 trip into the Enchantments in late September, I was with NWHiker's Tom Davenport and he snapped this pic of this mountain goat that adopted our campsite. Both Tom and I were using Hennessey Hammocks and the thought of those horns inadvertently hitting the bottom of our hammocks in the early morning was a bit unnerving so we did our best to chase this pest away. We were camped at Talisman Lake during that visit to the 'Chants. Here is the background picture of this "goat poser" shot. 10-1-2002 Comments[ Post a Comment ] | rdmc | Awesome... | |

Voted 10/10 | for all that is lacking in the human spirit.
When Mountain Goats die, they don't stop being Mountain Goats. They continue to climb to a higher plain; a mountain goat's "heaven" where the snow is always deep, the route is always steep AND the mountains are
higher than any mountains here on Earth.
God bless the Mountain Goat !!! | | Posted Dec 15, 2009 9:07 pm |

Hasn't voted | Its been a long time since that fall outing on Mt. Aix. How have you been? Let me wish you a Merry Christmas while I'm at it. Yeah, Tom and I had a neat trip into the Chants but I remember that trip most for tearing a calf muscle. I think he was wondering why I was so slow. | | Posted Dec 20, 2009 7:27 am |
