Another fantastic page! Only eight hours away and I have not been to the Winds. Do you have any idea who the mounatin was named for?
Also, your pictures are great but exhibit the classic "SP softness", possibly caused by too much resizing. There are several threads about this in the boards, here's one. I can dig up others if you are interested. I have been resubmitting a lot of my early shots for this reason. Save yourself the hassle.
Thanks for the vote. I'll try to do some retouching on the photos eventually. These are scanned pictures that I took with a really crappy camera, before I got a digital last year.
Thanks. I was wondering if it was the same Hooker. I have several references to him on my Kangchenjunga page. That Hooker web site you linked to was new to me, and I added it to my page as well. Appreiciate it. Take care, I'm off to Africa tomorrow!
Great page but the name looks weird at the top of your page with that comma. Might want to make it "Mount Hooker" instead of "Hooker, Mount". That way it looks like a prostitution instruction manual too! :- )

Untitled CommentGood page. Check your mountain group selection.....I don't think Mount Hooker is in the Zillertal Alps. :-)

Untitled CommentI just added some more historical background on the page which gives the source of the name of the mountain.
