I was spending my first week in Civetta group ...
One bad weather morning, we were climbing the famous Vazzoler wall (the western wall of the Rifugio Vazzoler)
trying to get the window of a room where a fine woman was still sleeping.

Suddenly Armando da Roit (guide and refuge keeper) came out and, while laughing, suggested us a "fine and amusing" climb : his route to Punta Agordo
... we had a very wet climb but worth to be done !

This is one of the summits of Cantoni di Pelsa (Civetta south west branch), first summit north of Torre Venezia
and one of the (very few in this area) summits that can be climbed even being not a superman :
that's why it is considered as "classic"

Getting There

all climbs start from rif. Vazzoler - 1714m :
from this hut you must walk for a few (less than 1 hour) along the path to Rifugio Tissi

To reach the Rifugio Vazzoler you can use public bus services starting from Belluno toward Alleghe.
From Listolade you must start walking along a route on the right that brings you till Capanna Trieste,
then along a very fine path along the Val Corpassa to the hut (~ 3 hours walk)
Using your car you can get the Capanna Trieste and save 1 hour walk

Routes overview

I know about 3 different routes on this summit

W wall (dihedral) - Da Roit - 300 m - D sup - similar to Fehrmann route to Campanile Basso ... maybe a little stronger but shorter
... worth to be climbed if not wet !

SW dihedral - Liberalato - low and high part are common with the Da Roit so that you can use it if crowded or too wet
... difficulties are almost equal

S wall - Livanos - a chimneys route - 200 m - some passages of 5° and (short) aid passages,.

Coming down route is complex and difficult to find ... better using rappel along the Liberalato or Da Roit dihedral.

When To Climb

spring - summer
this summit is low and can be climbed almost in all seasons after thawing
better if not wet

Camping

no need, Rifugio Vazzoler can host you ...
but if you don't want to spend money you can carry a small tent and put it in the meadows along the path (there's a lot of fine meadows here)
