Hasn't voted | I always wanted to witness and photograph Brocken (a formal word for this rainbow). They normally happen in a white-out so I guess you'll have to climb in uncertain weather more often to witness them :) | | Posted Oct 27, 2005 11:49 am |

Hasn't voted | I saw one from the summit of Mt. St. Helena in northern Napa County one day. Is the morning fog consistent enough there to improve one's probability of seeing a Brocken? I don't know.
I think the coolest part about them is the shadow of the viewer in the center of the rainbow. Spooky!
