Climbed from Upper Stephen's Lake with my 12 year old son. We were on a backpack trip. The climb from the lake was fairly straightforward. Awesome area.

Horstman gone wrong
Attempted to climb Horstman out of Fishhook Creek through the Saddle to the east of Horstman. Came up into the bowl around the circs, climbed a snow couloir and ended up summiting Iowa after Horstman got a little too technical for me.. Absolutely beautiful up there!

Climbed Mount Iowa after Horstmann, from the upper Stephens Lake. This combination made for a great scramble with spectacular views. Here’s a trip report and some more photos.

7th recorded ascent
Found the original summit tin with signatures back to 1947 (Paul Petzoldt, Bob & Merriam Underhill). Next ascent in 1971 (Lyman Dye), then 1991. Spectacular jagged ridgeline with great views. Peak is seldom climbed because it's not really visible from any road or major trail, yet it's a great climb.
