Re: ?I can't comment on the tent...it is a north face, but we borrowed it for this trip from someone who had taken up golfing over climbing. on this trip we had a 4 season mtn24 and this one... needless to say the guys in this tent didnt sleep much (windy night)

?Get a undesignated permit from the back country permit office. You shouldn't have a problem as long as no one else has one for that area that date. Practice leave no trace and prepare to carry bear canisters for your food. You can't get in trouble as long as you gave a permit! They check around there, believe me!
