Mt. Lagojvet and Neighboring Towers

Mt. Lagojvet and Neighboring Towers

A series of great towers on the Montenegran side of the alpine basins above Theth. Of the five major summits in the middle of the picture, only the first from left (Lagojvet) and the one next to it (Vukoces) have climbing routes on them (all on the other side from this picture), and nearly all the towers are fifth class summits, with the south-eastern and eastern faces and breath-taking knife ridges here dropping many hundred of meters.

Both Thore Pass and Lagojvet...

... are great images. Well composed, dramatic landscapes most of us will never see live. Thanks for posting...

Great report

Amazing stories from that fairy tale mountain land. Thanks for publishing that here.

Hey John..

...long time no see!
Actually Lagojvet (where our climbing route is) is the first from left, at the edge of the photo. Also Maja Fortit (far right, the triple peak with a shallow saddle in the middle), has a route from the opposite side, climbed by Serbs in 2009.
Cheers,
Kamil
