I met John at the lower trailhead and we started driving at 5:30. Reached the upper trailhead at 12460' shortly after 6. We enjoyed a short hike to the summit via the standard route ("Lavender Col") and started to traverse over to "Kismet" with plans to also bag Cirque Mtn. But the talus became unbearable and we decided it wasn't worth the annoyance, so instead we headed back to Ouray for burgers and beer. This turned out to be a wise choice as storms moved in soon after we departed. Images
