This is a view of Mt. Stone and a wild flower meadow along "route 1" to Mt. Stone. The meadow is at the top of the bushwhack section, shortly after leaving the small pond. At the top of the meadow, the trail emerges onto a boulder field and traverses below Saint Peter's Gate. Olympic Mountains, WA. August 14th, 2008.

My wife & I plan to

go look at some flowers (in the desert) later this week.

Wish we could get up THERE to Idaho/OR/WA,
but my wife wants to spend all her time in
Utah - which probably won't be so bad after
the snowstorms subside. Nice photo, Raker Man !!!

Thanks! Flowers are nice to look at no matter where you are. I'm sure they have some good ones in Utah too. ;) Hope the flower viewing is/was a good one!

Yeah, but have you ever looked at flowers in
the desert? What a paradox - their
fresh & tender pedals decorating a brown and
arid land. Life ALWAYS finds a way! : ))
