Mummy Mountain

Mummy Mountain is 8th tallest mountain in RMNP and is likely the earliest 13er to climb without absolutely needing snowshoes. After spending the night at the McGregor Mountain campsite, we hiked the Black Canyon trail to Bighorn Mountain group site where we climbed the hillside to the SE slopes of Mummy Mountain, sometimes referred to as 'The Mummy's Hair'. Very little snow was encountered, and the weather patterns and scenery made for great photos.
