Nanos from the East

This is the best known profile of Nanos, seen from the East. Here the inland of Slovenia is starting to open towards the Mediteranean see. Unless the fierce northern burja wind blows, here you can already feel warm breezes ascending up from Vipavska dolina (valley). But to the Kraški rob (Carst Edge), where the land abruptly lowers down, you still have to drive some 30 km.
