Nearing The Top...
Gimpilator looks ahead towards the "crux" rock climb section located prior to the summit of "Big Horn" (background-left). The "crux" section is the rock crack located at the notch seen in the background of this photo. Fred Beckey claimed that "crux" section is YDS Class 4, but our team agreed it was more likely YDS Class 5.4-5.6 at its worst point. Fortunately, the crack is only ~10' tall/long, and that section to the notch is only ~20' long to rock climb.
