Needle's Eye

Needle's Eye

This is Needle's Eye in Custer State Park, SD. The park is full of needle rock formations like this, and is a favorite spot for many rock climbers. These rock formations are said to descend about 10-miles deep into the surrounding Black Hills. I didn't have a wide-angle lense, so you're seeing only about half the formation. Imaged in June 2000.
